How can ice cream be organic?

All ingredients are organic – i.e. the cream comes from organic cows, which have been raised on grass grown without artificial fertilisers and whose welfare is monitored to strict standards. The eggs come from free range hens fed on organic food. The sugar, strawberries etc. are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers or chemical sprays on certified organic farms. All food sold as organic is certified and audited annually by an independent body. We use the Soil Association – the one with the highest standards in the UK. www.soilassociation.
