How can people with schizophrenia hear voices in their heads, and is being around a person suffering from this dangerous?
Most people with schizophrenia who are NOT on the proper medication are only dangerous too themselves. Unfortuenatly it can be very hard to find the right medication and sometimes the brain gets used to a particular medication and they have to find a new medicine. The best way to stay safe is if you see someone very agitated let someone who is experienced handle it. As far as how they can hear voices. They have a chemical imbalance in the brain which causes sensory problems. BTW people with schizophrenia can have hallucianations with all of the senses.
