How can security/safety be maintained?
Discuss ahead of time. Accept suggestions from other staff, parents and students. Ask the students to evaluate and plan ahead of time. Discuss the natural results of not respecting this opportunity. Decide on a possible ratio of staff to student. Perhaps suggest ways that the grant money could be used to have enough supervision to help improve the ration and provide for the safety and supervision of students during the activity. Invite others–parents, community members, mentors, probation officers, principals–to join in.
