How can the different boiling points of oxygen and nitrogen be used to separate the two gases?
Two Ways, first one if you have both gases into a closed container and knowing that oxigen has a boiling point of -183 and -196 for nitrogen, lower the temperature to -183 or a little less the oxigen will become liquid so you drain it in another container and leave the nitrogen in the packaging,
Second one, if you can increase the pressure into the container, the oxigen will become liquid first than nitrogen, so againg you can drain it but at higher temperature depending of pressure. Using the equation of gases P.V=n.R.T can explain all these results
