How did Pasco County develop its stormwater utility program?
While the stormwater program has been in place for many years, recently a Citizens Task Force was formed to evaluate the current stormwater program and to determine whether a higher level of service was needed. After a vote, the Task Force brought their recommendations to implement a stormwater utility fee to the County Administrator. Based on these recommendations, the County Board of County Commissioners adopted the Stormwater Utility Fee in 2007.
