Central Arkansas’ Jad Sinclair won the Arkansas State Red Wolf Classic on the first hole of a three-man playoff on Tuesday at Ridgepoint Country Club. Sinclair, from East London, South Africa, was playing as an independent and shot rounds of 71-70-70 for a 5-under 211 and tied with Southern Illinois’ Todd Obergoenner and UL Lafayette’s Kyle Pritchard. Lamar’s Xavier Feyaerts and Central Arkansas’ Jad Sinclair each claimed a share of the Southland Conference men’s golfer of the month award in April, the league office announced Wednesday. Feyaerts posted a 71.80 scoring average over two events in April. The freshman from Heist-Op-Den-Berg, Belgium, posted back-to-back sub-70 rounds to open the Administaff Augusta State Invitational and his 36-hole score of 137 (69-68) was his lowest 36-hole total of his career. That completed a stretch with four of seven rounds under par. Feyaerts tied for ninth at the event with a career-best 210 total and then tied for 26th with a 149 at the weather-shortened Aggie Invitational last weekend.
