Most models are very easy. You simply remove the top rear bolt on the inside of the tailgate, lift the tailgate up and place the lock underneath the handle and re-insert the bolt you remove or a non-reversable screw (provide). And you’re done. The most difficult keyed tailgate lock is the PL2300.
