How do american scientific beliefs differ from other cultures?
Stated thusly, the question is almost meaningless. First, do you realize how many cultures there are in the world? Second, comparing the USA to Afghanistan (for instance) in terms of scientific beliefs is not meaningful. A more meaningful approach is to compare America to its “peers” in the world, i.e. Western-style modern countries. Third, countries are not monolithic in their scientific beliefs. There is no such thing as “American scientific beliefs”; Californians believe in evolution and man-made global warming; so they’re closer to Western Europeans. A lot of people in the South USA refuse the facts of evolution. In that sense. their beliefs are closer to those of the middle-east.
