How do Birkenstock size their shoes?
Birkenstock use European sizes to class their shoes. These can however be converted into U.S/Australian sizes using the below sizing chart. For example, and as a guide only, a Birkenstock European 39 would be a Women’s 8-8 1-2 or Men’s 6-6 1/2. Please keep in mind that Birkenstocks tend to be larger than other brand shoes, so we suggest you always select the smaller size if you fit somewhere in the middle.
