How do diversity demographics, such as race and class, contribute to the dynamic of gentrification?
This was selected as Best Answer I would say any definition of gentrification would have to include aspects of class – it is a certain combination of proportions of different classes that to me say an area is gentrified. I’d say that race used to be similar, but only because it aligned so strongly with class – for example in UK and USA higher and almost all middle class was a strictly white preserve, but this is changing.
