After you login to the University network, NetFiles can be reached via this path: \\netfiles\users\\ where is the first letter of your . For example, someone with a NetID of “zjones” would have a NetFiles share accessible at \\netfiles\users\z\zjones. For Windows users, your U:\ drive is automatically mapped to your NetFiles folder. To access it, double click on “My Network Places” and choose the U:\ drive. For Apple/Mac/OSX users, you can mount your NetFiles volume with Finder > Go > Connect to Server. In the text box asking for Server Address, type in the path to your file share (e.g., cifs://netfiles/users// or smb://netfiles/users/). If this doesn’t work, you can try cifs://netfiles.richmond.edu/users//. There are a few known limitations/incompatibilities for Mac users with Netfiles (some severe).
