How do I adjust the display contrast on the TI-89 Titanium calculator?
The long answer to this question is in the TI-89 guidebook that came with your calculator when you purchased it; here is a short answer. To increase the contrast, from the home screen press the [] (lime green color) key and then the [+] key alternately until the contrast is satisfactory. To reduce the contrast, press the [-] (the subtraction key, just above the [+] key), instead of the [+] key. If the calculator is cold, the energy given off by the batteries will diminish, causing the display contrast to diminish. If you work in a cold climate, it is important that you know how to change the contrast to adjust for temperature changes.
