How do I apply for financial aid to study outside Wisconsin through NSE (UW Oshkosh students only)?
In order to apply for financial aid, you must: • File the FAFSA for the appropriate academic year. The summer session begins the academic year. A paper copy of this form can be picked up from the Financial Aid Office, or fill out the FAFSA on line at http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/fafsa.jsp –click on Apply for Financial Aid—or at www.fafsa.ed.gov. • Attend one of the Financial Aid for Study Abroad and NSE Information Meetings (http://www.uwosh.edu/oie/oiemain/events.html). Your Financial Aid cannot be processed until you have attended one of these meetings. If you do not attend one of these meetings, you will be required to make an appointment with the Director of Financial Aid. • If you plan to study away through NSE and wait until the week of the NSE application deadline to turn in your forms, you will not know your financial aid status until AFTER the application deadline.
