How do I apply to be a substitute teacher with Dalton Public Schools?
All substitute teachers must first have a clear background check before an application may be submitted. The background check form is available on the website or in the Human Resources Department. The background check costs $30, payable in cash or money order at the time the fingerprints are submitted. Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling Nelly Cervantes at (706) 876-4070. Once the background check is cleared (usually within 2 business days), a substitute application may be completed. Candidates must complete an approved substitute training course and attend a scheduled substitute orientation session before substitute assignments may be accepted.
