How do I change Oster clipper blades?
Removing the BladesPress the metal catch right below the blades on the back side of the Oster clippers, and pull back the blades. Carefully loosen the screws holding the blades together and in place. Keep the two blades together as you gently remove them from the clippers, using them as a visual example when putting on the new set.Cleaning the ClippersClean out the blade area to remove hair, grime and dirt. Use an old toothbrush and a clipper-cleaning solution. Oil all the parts after you have thoroughly cleaned this area. This will keep your clippers from overheating.Putting On New BladesAssemble your two new blades like the two old blades were: back to back, larger blade behind the smaller blade and flat against each other, eliminating friction. Slide the blades onto the clippers, making sure they are fitted on the release, the screws and even with one another. Tighten the screws, then fold down the blades until they snap into place.
