How do I change the gamemode on my Garrys Mod server?
First you need to make sure that the gamemode you want to load is installed to the following folder on your game server. /garrysmod/gamemodes/ Next, open the “server.cfg” file, which can be found in the Default Config Files section of your game server control panel. Now go to the bottom of the file and place the following command on a blank line: sv_defaultgamemode “DarkRP” We use DarkRP in this example, but you can load any gamemode you have installed on your server. Simply changes “DarkRP” in the example above to match the folder name of the game mode you wish to load. Click “Save” at the bottom of the window once you have finished editing the server.cfg file. Now all you need to do is restart the server for the gamemode that you chose to begin loading.
