Checking the Print Head’s Current StateCheck the current state of the Epson Stylus CX3810 print head by performing a test print. Turn off the printer and load paper in the paper feeder. Hold the “power” button and the “ink” button together for about three seconds; the printer will then initiate a test print. If the test print reveals signs of fading color or missing lines and the ink cartridge is not low on ink (the “ink” button does not light up when you turn on the printer), you may need to clean the print head.Cleaning the Print HeadEnsure that the printer is powered on and the “ink” button is not lit.
