The supported (and most secure) method to connect to the Student Web Server remotely (from a computer off the University of Wyoming Network Backbone that doesn’t have a valid 129.72.x.x IP Address) is to use a Virtual Private Networking (VPN) client. This client makes a secure connection between the computer you are on and the University of Wyoming Network. After making the secure connection you can connect to the Student Web Server to create and/or edit your site normally. We provide a VPN client free of charge at https://wyosecure.uwyo.edu/.
