Open New FileOpen a new Microsoft Office Visio 2007 document and choose the “Basic Flowchart” template under “Choose Category Type/Category/Flowchart.” The “Basic Flowchart” templates appear in metric and U.S. units. A menu of basic flowchart shapes and connectors on the left complements the virtual grid paper on the right.Create Text Shape BoxesClick and drag the shape boxes to the grid paper. Arrange the shapes to depict a flowchart process, decision, document or other step. Double-click on each shape box and type text for that step. Handles appear on the sides of each labeled shape box.Connect Shape BoxesClick and drag either a dynamic or curved-line connector in the menu on the left to connect each set of two adjacent text shape boxes. The connector snaps to the handles on the shape boxes when attached. Adjust the position of the attached connector line segment by clicking and dragging on the green (dynamic) or yellow (curved-line) diamond in the middle of the connector. Visio 2007
