How do I create a Release package (containing both the base codec package and ce package) now that Im done running the wizard?

The wizard creates a codec package but not something you can readily email – what you need is a tarball with a good name – something like dm6446_mpeg2dec_1_00_001_eval_rel.tar It should contain the 2 packages that comprise a Codec-Engine-ready-codec i.e. the ‘base’ directory e.g. mpeg2dec and the ‘ce’ content i.e. mpeg2dec/ce • Step 1 : make a *new* directory for the release tarball destination • e.g. lets say your working copy for codec packaging is in dm6446_mpeg2dec_1_00_001_eval/packages/mycompany/mygroup/codecs/mpeg2dec/ then make a dir for the release tarball called dm6446_mpeg2dec_1_00_001_eval_rel • Note – this directory should be completely outside of any paths on your XDCPATH • Step 2 : Copy across any release notes, Makefile, config.bld etc (anything that may go in ‘otherFiles’ as shown below) from your working area. Do *not* copy across the complete packages/ directory from your work area – this will cause the to-be-released-content to be rebuilt and superflous tarballs to
