How do I customize or disable the news pop-up alerts?

You can customize or disable the News pop-up alerts via News Preferences. Go to Preferences > News > Alerts and set your choices for the pop-up display, audio notification and action when pop-up is clicked. Note: the news pop-up alert preferences are independent of the pop-up alerts that are received for items in the alert component. These may be customized by going to Preferences > Alerts > Pop-ups.
