How do I decrease my dogs moulting habit?

Dogs shed all year round, they also moult spring and summer when the new coat comes through. So maybe your dog is gaining his summer coat. If he is a short coated breed you’ll have hairs all over the place, and they get stuck in fabric. If you wrap sticky tape around your hand sticky side out you can clean these off. If he’s a long coated breed you spend less time hoovering because the hairs lift off fabrics easier, but you spend up to an hour a day combing your dog. Best thing to do is get a cheap plastic comb like you’d use on your own hair, try it on your own scalp to make sure its not scratchy, and comb him through twice a day, even if he’s short coated. Finish off with a rubber mitt or a damp cloth to remove loose hairs, your dog will enjoy it and you’ll have less housework.
