No not harmful at all, only maybe some websites that you have asked to remember your password may forget that and ask you for your password again Other people has pointed out how to delete them.

If you delete all your cookies you will have to sign back on to all your registered sites.

In Internet Explorer’s “Tools” menu, select Internet Options and then the “Delete Cookies” button. It’s not really harmful, but you’ll find that any website that remembers who you are from visit to visit will have forgotten who you are — which is, of course, the point of deleting cookies.

Assuming you’re using Internet Explorer 6, go to Tools, internet Options, then click the button in the middle of the dialog box that says “Delete Cookies.” It isn’t harmful. It’s not harmful to keep them either. Contrary to popular belief, cookies in no way, shape or form allow anyone to spy on you or your computer.

if u have internet explorer with version 6.0 or greater then it simply go to TOOLS—->INTERNET OPTIONS—->COOKIES—->DELETE ! if u r not havin IE6.0 then right click on start menu go to windows directory u will find COOKIES folder there, just open it and delte all files frm it.(make sure view hidden files r enable from VIEW/TOOLS meu—>FOLDER OPTIONS–>VIEW….) if u r having winxp then your IE version is 6.0 . if win2k or 98 u wont get options in internet tools its no way harmful, webservers like yahoo.com stors temperoty session ids etc on your computer. nothing else BEST OF LUCK……..KEEP SMILING !
