Unlike on a windows system which allows for the java plugin to be manipulated from a pull down menu option available from the browser, a Unix or Linux system requires that a separate utility be run. The utility is call ControlPanel and is located in the jre/bin directory To run it, simply type: ControlPanel Caching options are located under the caching tab.
