How do I dispense mouse tissues to the approved requester (for internal staff)?
Once the LOI is submitted to the system, you can browse the LOI in the Pending Order under Dispense Tissue menu option. Once you are ready to dispense tissue (after UKMRTB tissue steering committee approves the LOI), you are to search which specimen is going to be dispensed by searching existing specimen. Go to Database Stats and select search options that meet criteria for the requester. Once you retrieve the sets of cases that you are ready to dispense tissues, select Browse Specimen Info and select individual specimen to be dispensed. Click on the Dispense button to move to Dispense page. You are to select each individual specimen and enter the amount to be dispensed. In your Order Item screen, you will be given information about the LOI (such as title, amount of sample requested, shipping date, and shipping carrier). You are to enter the shipping date to complete the request.
