How do i dye brunette hair blond w/ out killing my hair!?
You can’t “kill” your hair as it is already dead. You cannot lighten dark hair significantly without bleaching. You would have to bleach your hair to a desired lift and than tone or dye it with a semi-permanent dye to the color that you want. There is no other way, sorry. And just so you know, it is possible to bleach your hair without completely damaging it. I do it myself and my hair always comes out looking great and minimally damaged because I take good care of it. You can either learn to do this yourself like I did, or go to a “professional” if it’s the first time and you don’t want to risk it. I use the term professional loosely because hair stylist are certainly NOT professionals by any means, at least none whom I have met. I went to a salon and had my hair done by 3 different girls, all went to cosmetology school and all had experience… only ONE knew what she was doing and did a great job.
