How do I find out if theres a warrant for my arrest?
CALL your local police or sheriff’s office. Local law enforcement doesn’t have the resources to go out looking for every person who has an outstanding warrant for their arrest. Unless its for something super serious, they just wait until you get pulled over for a traffic violation and take you in when they run your driver’s license. Besides, they realize that 50%+ of the time, the person doesn’t even realize they have a warrant out for them (you, for example) and once they’re alerted, people usually just turn themselves in if the offense is minor. When you call, they’ll ask you for your name, date of birth, and possibly a few other means of insuring that you have a right to the information. If you personally appear at the police station qne have a warrant for your arrest, you will be taken into custody on the spot. You’ll be processed and detained until bail is set (assuming that it’s not a no-bail warrant for your arrest.
