How do i get my Daughter over needle-phobia. Should i let the Nurses restrain her ?

If the nurse/doctor is willing, let them give you a blank (empty syringe or sterile saline) first so your daughter can see. Another tactic is to bribe her by promising – and giving – a reward. Only restrain as last resort and you should be the primary one doing it, hugging her from behind, distracting her, singing to her.

Molly, how would YOU like to be held down and forced into a medical procedure by adults you didn’t know and were scared to death of? What those nurses and that doctor did was CRIMINAL, and if this had been MY daughter, I would have pressed CHARGES AGAINST THAT OFFICE for assault, and reported the doctor to the state medical board. I don’t blame your daughter for fighting back- I BLAME YOU for allowing this to happen, and for putting her in that situation to start with. There ARE alternatives available to hypodermic needles, you know, including air shots ( which force medicine under the skin using high pressure air) and oral medication. Many vaccines can be given orally on a sugar cube or something similar ( the flu vaccine and polio vaccines are good examples of this) and this does not involve the fighting and trauma which you’ve been forcing your daughter to go through. And for your information, Molly, needles and shots DO HURT. Some of them are VERY PAINFUL, in fact. To make matters
