You can’t. SI’s Voodoo memory manager is incompatable with EMM386, which is required by the SB Live card’s Dos drivers. To date the best solution is to have a second soundcard installed, one which is compatable with SI. This problem appears to occur with most modern PCI soundcards. Please let me know if you find one that works. Note that the program to allow U7 and SI to run in Windows (see 13.2.1) bypasses this problem. • 13.2.4 Q: Then is there any way to get really good sound in SI?
