How do I get semester credits if the university offers quarter hours (or vice versa)?
It is a generally accepted practice that courses granting 5 quarter hours of credit are equivalent to courses granting 3 semester hours of credit, and vice versa. It is not necessary to “get” one instead of the other since they are interchangeable. If you have a concern, please check before you enroll in the course.
