JavaFX 1.2 Desktop Runtime will be automatically downloaded on Windows and Mac OS desktops and browsers that support Java 1.5 or higher when users access a JavaFX application for the first time. Users don’t have to download anything additional to run JavaFX applications. The JavaFX runtime will be automatically updated on the user’s desktop for subsequent releases and applications built with previous releases of the JavaFX SDK will continue to run. JavaFX 1.2 SDK includes the JavaFX Mobile Emulator to enable developers to begin creating JavaFX content for mobile devices. The JavaFX Mobile runtime is available to Mobile Device Manufacturers and Operators as of February 2009. Companies interested in preloading JavaFX Mobile with the devices should contact Sun for more details.
