• This type of access is permitted under University and Commercial license categories, as long as it is controlled to be limited to those authorized to have access under your license terms. Our access control is solely by IP range, and that range should correspond to addresses on your campus network. For off-campus access you might consider one of the following options: • Off-campus employees can log in to an on-campus computer and run a graphical browser from that machine with remote display on the home computer. • Off-campus faculty can log in to an on-campus computer with a command-line session under Unix, and then use a text browser. We have found the Lynx browser to give good results with our search interfaces. • The institution can set up a proxy server configured to accept connections only from authorized users (via password protection). This is fairly common setup for libraries that handle access for a campus. • With some dial-up servers, off-campus logins are dynamically assig
