• Do a backup of the data in the flash drive first. Delete the old Disk Manager software from the flash drive or from your hard disk. Copy the new software in. Use the new disk manager to do a format/partition of the drive, to get a ‘fresh’ start. • The new disk manager V a software have a special function, it is a ‘software lock’. After you have launched the software, on the top left-hand corner there is a button named as ‘device write protect disabled’. This is a software lock. This new feature allows you to have the flexibility of ‘software locking’ the flash drive. This means that if you have selected the button, you cannot write/edit the data to the flash drive. To unlock, just select the button again. With this added feature, the flash drive is equipped with a hardware physical lock, software lock and the disk manager password protection.
