Insert the Windows XP install disk into your computer’s CD drive, then restart your computer. When prompted, press a key to boot from the CD. The Windows setup program will now launch. Follow the on-screen instructions until you reach a screen asking you to choose a partition to install Windows XP onto. Highlight the partition you wish to install Windows XP onto, then press the “Enter” key. In the next screen, you will have to choose a file system you want for formatting. Choose “NTFS”, then press “Enter. Windows XP will now begin the automated installation process. At certain points in this process, you will be asked to enter your Windows XP serial key, and to also make small decisions such as the name of the computer and what user name you want for logging onto Windows XP.
