How do I make dired use my external ls program?
To make dired, (the directory editor), use an external ‘ls’ program, which will allow you to see symbolic links, and such like you need to set two variables: (setq ls-lisp-use-insert-directory-program t) ;; use external ls (setq insert-directory-program “c:/cygwin/bin/ls”) ;; ls program name ;; Change this to your absolute path –^
