You’re also going to want to look into insurance. If someone has an allergic reaction you may be held liable. If you don’t have insurance you could lose everything. You are also going to need to look into laws on labeling…what needs ingredients listed and what doesn’t. What’s the difference between soap, a cosmetic and a drug. I would also highly recommend being experienced for at least a year or two before you start selling to the public. You’re going to want to know how your products hold up over time. I’ve been making soaps and lotions and other body products for over a year and I still don’t think I’m ready to sell to the mass population. I’m not trying to discourage you at all, just cautioning against jumping into unknown waters. At the very least, it is a fun hobby. Good luck!
