How do I obtain authorization for psychological or neuropsychological testing?
Please note that testing for educational purposes or learning disabilities is typically not covered. Tufts Health Plan members should have a comprehensive evaluation with a psychiatrist or neurologist before requesting psychological testing. Providers must request prior approval for psychological or neuropsychological testing. Please have your provider call our Mental Health Department at 800-208-9565 to obtain the Psychological/Neuropsychological Testing Request form.
