If you have a level scheme in the gls format (e.g. from escl8r or levit8r) then you can easily make figures of alignments, routhians, moments of inertia etc, as a function of either rotational frequency or spin, by using the program dixie_gls. Run dixie_gls, read in and display your level scheme, and then check out the available commands by typing HE (help). When you are able to generate a figure that you want to keep, use the WP (write displayed data to plot-type file) command. This will generate a .pdc file. You can find out about .pdc files by looking at the documentation on how to use plot. You can edit the .pdc file with your favorite text editor, then run plot and edit the result with pedit. Finally, when you are ready to make a postscript file, you can do that by running plot2ps.
