How do I published a complete book?
The first step is research. Who publishes the kind of book like yours? Who would you like to publish you? You can usually find out what their submissions requirements are on their websites. It may be that your favorite publishers will not accept ‘unsolicited work.’ This means you need an agent. In that case, return to the first step: research. If you were to put your book with others of the same genre, who are their agents? What are their websites/phone numbers/addresses. These days you can do most of this research online with google or any one of a number of search engines. You can also open those books that inspired you and look at all the credits in the front. They won’t have numbers or websites necessarily, but you can find out the address, and so you can submit. Putting together a submission takes a couple chapters. Typically this is the first 20 pages of the book. This is your audition.
Should these steps fail you, or if you are a little more ambitious for work, you can self publish. There are many "vanity press" options on the internet. You can even make it available on Amazon. If you do this, be prepared to take your book on tour, because you will be the only one getting people to buy it.
