How Do I Record A Video Using My Webcam?
I have a HP dv6000, which has Vista and an integrated webcam+microphone. I need to use them to record a video, with audio. I’ve tried for the last hour to try to find a program that will do this for me. QuickPlay is rubbish as it seems to play the webcam’s captured frames at maximum speed regardless of how long I was actually recording for. I would like to know what software you use to upload webcam video and audio to Youtube (just for example) or if you know a solution to the QuickPlay problem. I can find no plain and simple webcam application integrated with the computer. There are several applications on the computer that record video, but all of them, when played, play the video at super-speed while the audio lags behind. I’m not sure how to fix this; there doesn’t seem to be any kind of setting for it.
• A. Make sure you have your webcam installed, plugged in, and that you are logged into Viddyou. Click on “Home” and you will see “Upload or Record.” Click on “Record” and you will see an alert pop up asking for permission to access your webcam and microphone. Choose allow and Viddyou will then automatically detect your webcam and microphone. If Viddyou does not detect your webcam or microphone you can manually choose either in the drop down menus. Begin recording by pressing the “Record” button. When you are finished press the “Stop” button. You can then click the “Playback” button to play your recorded video and if you wish you can press the “Re-Record” button to record the video again. If you are happy with your recorded video click the “Keep” button and you will be brought to Step 2 where you add a Title, Description and select your Privacy Setting. Click the “Upload” button to upload your newly recorded video. For more details Watch Our Quick Video On Recording.
