There is a belt tensioner. Use your hand and push the belt tensioner until the belt becomes loose. The tensioner is spring loaded, so your hand is all you need to loosen it. Once you loosen the tensioner, remove the belt from one pulley. You may then release the tensioner and remove the rest of the belt. Make sure you know which way the belt is supposed to go on. Routing the belt the wrong way can damage your engine and components. If the vehicle doesn’t have a diagram under the hood, draw out the pulleys and belt locations. This will make the install of the new belt a little easier. Make sure not to start the engine with the belt off. You will damage a lot of things.
