How do I reset the Linksys router to factory default?
A. Press the Reset button of the router and reset through the web-based setup page of the router in order to set the router to factory default. Hold down the Reset button with a Paper Clip for 30 seconds. When you see the lights blink, thenunplug the power cable. Wait for five seconds and holdthe reset button with thepower turned off. Plug in the power cable and hold the reset button held for fiveseconds. You must see the blinking lights on the router. Any settings on the router are erased and the router’s IP address of the router becomes 192.168.1.1. After you reset, the username and password are admin.
