Firstly, convert the IP address to IP number format (see question 3). Search the IP-Country-Region-City-Latitude-Longitude-Timezone-Netspeed database using IP number to match a record that has the IP Number between the Beginning IP Number and the Ending IP Number. For example, IP Address “4.2.226.135” is “67297915” in IP Number. It matched the following recordset in the database. “67297920”,”67297927″,”US”,”UNITED STATES”,”TENNESSEE”,”MEMPHIS”,”35.1292″,”-89.9892″,”-6:00″,”DSL”,”USTN0325″,”MEMPHIS” From the recordset, we know that the Country Name is “UNITED STATES”, Country Code is “US”, Region/State is “TENNESSEE”, City is “MEMPHIS”, Latitude is “35.1292”, Longitude is “-89.9892”, Time zone is “-6:00”, connection speed is “DSL”, weather station code is “USTN0325” and weather station name is “MEMPHIS”.
