How do I send an Enhanced Text Message from an enhanced text messaging capable phone?
If you have subscribed to Verizon Wireless’ Text Messaging service and have purchased a enhanced text messaging capable phone, you will be able to send an Enhanced Text Message to 10-digit wireless phone numbers of other Verizon Wireless subscribers who have an text messaging capable phone. Note that currently Enhanced Text messages cannot be sent to e-mail addresses or vtext.com nicknames; however, enhanced text messaging capable phones can send and receive text messages (plain text messages less than 160 characters) to and from e-mail addresses, vtext.com nicknames and vtext.com. Follow the directions for sending a text message from a 2-way capable phone. Your mobile number will be sent with the enhanced text messaging message. The character limit includes the message content, and if provided, the subject and callback number and any embedded graphics or sounds. Total character limit may vary depending on the phones.
