How do I set up IMAP in Apple Mail for Mac OS X?
This document describes how you can check, and if necessary, change your existing CalMail account settings in Apple Mail for Mac OS X for IMAP. Get started • Open the Mail application. • Create an IMAP email account. Click on the mailbox icon on top of the window, select Create New Mail Account. When asked what type of account you would like to create, select IMAP. Click OK. • Enter a name for the account. Follow the example. When you are done, click OK. • Enter your email username, for example, enter xxx for the address xxx@berkeley.edu. When you are done, click OK. • Enter the password for the account and click OK. • Enter the full email address and click OK. • Enter the full name for this account and click OK. • Enter calmail.berkeley.edu as the host name for the incoming mail server and click OK. • Would you like to store sent mail on the IMAP server?
