How do I sign up for U.Va. Alerts?
To register, you do need to have your cell phone handy. Complete the New User Signup Form. On the form you will be asked to create a password for your U.Va. Alerts account and provide your mobile phone number and carrier information. After submitting the form, you will receive a text message that will include a 4-digit validation code. You must enter the validation code on the confirmation web page and hit the “Validate” button. You will then automatically be forwarded to a “Thank You” page. Once validated, you may login to your U.Va. Alerts account and enter your preferred email address and additional mobile phone number (e.g., a parents mobile phone number).
