To stop payment on a cheque, you will need to go to the Canadian Chartered Bank on which the cheque was drawn with the details and effect a stop payment order/request. It is also important to notify JN member centre to advise that you have placed a stop payment order on the cheque item. If it is received, they should be requested to return to the member unprocessed.
