Aside from what the first person said, when you “throw” your voice, you’re making it sound like it is coming from somewhere else. He’s right about that point. What you’re not asking about is how to make it sound like it is coming from a puppet, but rather from another location. This is actually an older form of ventriloquism that you’re asking about that is still in use today. Religious leaders and magicians would use this trick to make it sound like ghosts were speaking to them. What you have to first do is learn basic ventriloquism.
