You can use STAF/STAX to boot VMWare images and then execute tests on the VMWare images. Below is a example that demonstrates how to do this. The “startvmware” function boots a VMWare image. Note that it’s has important information on how to configure your VMWare image to work correctly with STAF/STAX. The “stopvmware” function shuts down and powers off a VMWare image. The “main” function shows how you call the vmware functions. In your main function, after the VMWare image has booted (you would need to wait for an appropriate amount of time and do a STAF PING to the machine to determine that it’s up and running), you would begin running your tests on the VMWare image.
