How do I view a different window without shutting down Oblivion?
When you are playing Oblivion you sometimes might want to check out the internet (maybe this page) without shutting down the game. In order to do this you need to have a page up so that you have something to switch to. Otherwise try either Control+Alt+Delete or Control+Shift+Escape to switch to Windows Task Manager or Windows Security. Quicksave before doing this, as the game likes to crash in these situations. • It has been found that opening the console before you Alt+Tab out of the game seems to reduce the likelihood of a crash. • The ESC key seemed to work best, as it pauses the game and is not affected by the Tab key at all. • The screen sometimes will flicker uncontrollably when you Alt+Tab out of it, and it usually takes a few attempts to get to the desktop without it flickering like mad.
